We're home!

We made it home today following a 2-hour squall delay.

Resting @ Lake Park Harbor Marina

We're treating ourselves (and our bodies) to a day of rest and doing a few chores. After doing a 56.4 nautical miles day, folled by a 47.9 nm day, then a 65.7 nm Atlantic crossing - we were ready for a day of rest. Not only that, but we thought we'd take a day to have our bodies get adjusted to this [...]

Great Sale to West End

Anchor up 7am and there's not much wind. We're leaving this deserted island with some poor, unlucky boater who was washed ashore on the North end. What do you suppose that's going to cost him????

Calm Seas
Happy Mother's Day all you great Moms!

Left Man-O-War around 9:30am today, heading for...possibly Great Guana or if it's nice we may go through the Whale Back. (This is where we pop out into the Atlantic for an hour or so.)

Man, this water is the flatest we've seen it on the Sea of Abaco. 16.5 feet deep and we can see the bottom - it's a gorgeous turquoise. Jim & Barb radioed us and we all decided since the seas were so flat we're going to do the Whale Back and head for Leeward Marina on Green Turtle.

As we got into the Atlantic -- by the way, with Trude at the helm -- it was very, very calm! 45 foot water and we could still make out shadows on the ocean floor! Put up the jib out there and had a nice sail almost all the way to Black Sound -- which is where the marina is.

Our picture is of the Atlantic, trying to capture the beautiful color. It just doesn't do it justice.

Good soft landing at the dock as Adrian caught our lines. It's a very warm day and since we're almost out of beer, decided to go poolside for our "anchoring beer". Wow, there's Adrian again... and his wife came by later. As you may guess, they were busy by the pool as Mother's Day was being celebrated.

Hardly a breeze overnight, starting to feel like Florida.
