Joe,our scribe,is taking a quick nap before he jumps back into action for his 8-12 watch. Of course he expects Captain Ruud to do the honors, so here we go.
We are flying along on a course of 172T and are within 500 miles of our destination. At current speed we should arrive at Leverick Bay in Virgin Gorda sometime early Sunday morning, about 7.5 days after our departure from Hampton. Not bad for 4 AARP members! We have a squall line on our heels and apparently are in for a rough night so we are deeply reefed and ready to weather the challenge.
Today was a beautiful sunny day and we made excellent progress again. The seas and the sky were a pleasure to behold and made us reflect on how lucky we are to have the opportunity to experience this. Blue Pearl is happy to be here too, she is dancing through the waves and enjoying the challenge as much as we are. The boat and the crew are in perfect harmony...!
Captain Ruud
