Seizing the Wind

Last post before landfall

Hopefully, this will be the last post before landfall. With about 200 nm to Victoria, I should be there Thursday morning. Winds look lighter and favourable until Wednesday when they drop to low. I will likely motor in the last 100 miles but we shall see.

Currently passing by Seattle latitude, so a shout out to my American Cousins

The last couple of days have been really nice. Once the winds dropped below 20, the sun has come out and I have had some lovely time in the cockpit drying me and my clothes out. I went out on the swim grid to bring in the wind vane oar, and dipped my boots in the water. Everything feels like the last time and I am
turning my focus towards land. Can't wait to see everyone and eat someone else's food!

For those interested, I will leave my tracking device on for the last 24 hours and it should update positions every hour.

Thanks for coming along with me and I look forward to reading any comments left when I get internet. Ah, internet, how I miss you, but not a much as friends and family.

Take care all and I'll be a landlubber again soon.
