One of the big celebrations in Majuro is the local Billfish Tournament. Fishermen fish all day -- from 6AM - and have their catch weighed at 5PM. The winners.

At the Billfish Tournament there were local dancers. Such a nice performance.
Three years ago a 13 year old girl died from getting meat caught in her throat. The tournament is a memorial to her.
Marshall Islands Handicraft

The handicraft in the Marshalls is very fine. It is different from other workweek have seen. People wear headbands of it and decorate their cars. Jackie Onassis loved a special white bag they make. They make Xmas decorations too.
Pandanus fruit

The Pacific Islanders use the Pandanus plant to make very fine mats and decorations. Bp reparation of the leaves is a big art. We were not aware of the fruit the tree produces. It is very large and they cook it. It kind of tastes fermented.
RMI license plates

The license plates here are colorful. There are cars, rather than the motor scooters of Tuvalu. Most of the cars are taxis. The fare is $.75 per person on the island where the main town is. It is $2 to get to the airport of acorns the bridge to the next island. A regular taxi can take 4 people.
