Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Dennis ... cool, sunny and breezy
So far we've had a great day. Heidi whipped up a delicious breakfast of pancakes and bacon with real maple syrup. Then, as we'd been told there is a tradition here in town that on Thanksgiving morning a group of people gather at 9:00 at "The Bean" for a leisurely bike ride through town, we joined up and were surprised to see about 60 people gathered at the start. We were expecting just a handful. It was really fun ... nice way to start the day. So today we'll get a few final tasks done, but mostly relax and cook up a duck breast with a port wine reduction, mashed potatoes and some veggies for a quiet Thanksgiving dinner on board. Hopefully we'll be able to get a few folks hanging around over for some drinks before hand. Anyway ... I hope you all have (had) a wonderful turkey day, can relax with loved ones and engage in some well deserved down time.
We are going to head out of Oriental tomorrow morning, back down to Beaufort, NC for a jumping off point for one more attempt at crossing the gulf stream. We are really looking forward to some of that Caribbean sun and sand!
