Snorkling on Christmas
28 December 2013 | East Holandes

We had a great time swimming, snorkeling and sailing with the kids. One reef we went to in the East Holandes (Guna Yala, Panama) is called the Japanese Gardens. It had a lovely assortment of hard and soft corals – large bulbous brain corals, spreading staghorns and soft feathery gorgonians that swayed with the current. Sometimes the light would shine and sparkle over the reef highlighting the textures. In the water and on the surface we spotted turtles and rays, and Nico spotted a Lionfish. We also enjoyed swimming to the islands and waking on the beaches. The temperature is near perfect with the warm sun, cool ocean and also the cooling breezes. I am so happy to share this with them.
