A few observations from 0200 this morning. We are heading straight toward the Southern Cross ... the myriad phosphorescence creating their own little universe ... gentle sound of the water passing under the hull and past the rudder ... the quiet oscillation of the wind - 5 knots - 4 knots ... up and down ... left and right in a quiet dance ... 5 knots of boat speed ... the blink blink blink of our position on the chart plotter .. the exquisite peacefullness of it all! I am feeling the soul of Centime ... I have chills. So alone out here ... so at peace ... seeking rendezvous with our buddy boat. Quite possibly the best personal offshore sailing experience I've ever had.
