Out and About in the Sea of Cortez
27 November 2020
Using a buoy in the Ellipse of Puerto Escondido as home base we've been enjoying getting out to some of our old favorite anchorages this past month as often as possible. We want to take advantage of the good weather while we can as it is getting colder every day now.
We visited Honeymoon Cove on Isla Danzante, Marquer on Isla Carmen, the South Anchorage of Isla Coronados and lovely Juncalito just north of Puerto Escondido.
We swam, snorkeled and enjoyed sunrises and sunsets. We watched birds and dolphin and the occasional turtle.
Nights were spent watching the sky for Space Station fly overs as well as other satellites and of course the meteor showers! So nice to be out in the middle of nature again.
Now we are back on our buoy where we enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving dinner yesterday followed by socially distanced drinks and desserts with friends in Marina Chica. We will hang out here until the Norther that's starting up today winds itself down and then we'll go out and do it again.
