Propeller

11 November 2006 | Market Bosworth
David Mutlow / Wind & Rain
After a long period of patience I have finally been able to fit the 12x12 Propeller. It is 'Epoxy Resin' secured with additional Stainless steel bolts. Vetus supplied the Stern Tube and Cutlas bearing for a very reasonable price. It fits a 1 inch (25mm) shaft Connected to a Bukh 10hp. The Stainless Steel Straps are to ad strength to the area. This may be an over cautious addition but I do prefer to strengthen everything I can to make it Bullet proof. I'm hoping the 12x12 pitch/diam' Propeller with its steep pitch is more likely to spin and charge my batteries, as I had been recommended to chose a 9x14.
