Linekin Bay
14 August 2016
Linekin Bay is just around the corner from Boothbay Harbor, quiet and peaceful and a lovely anchorage. If you were inclined you could dinghy to a park and walk into Boothbay for dinner. We opted to stay on board and enjoy the peace and quiet. We had been sitting in the cockpit reading when a dinghy with several people on board stopped by to say hi and ask a few questions about our roller furling main. As they were leaving they noticed the name of our boat and turned around asking if we had been in the Dowry Creek Marina in Bellhaven, NC during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Well we were, along with about two dozen other boats for at least 5 days. It was John and Helen Leddy on s/v Aqua Maris and they were there as well. When we checked we even found a picture of them in our computer. Small world.
