Up early and out the channel by 7:30. We could see rain in the distance and only got a few drops. Mark put up the bimini extensions and we were very protected. Took around 3 hours to get to Marsh Harbour. The seas were rough and choppy. We were unable to sail. Stopped at the fuel dock. Chris and I found Maxwell's grocery store, which was the biggest in all of the Abacos, rivaling those in the US. We could find anything we wanted but the prices were steep and we were mainly looking for veggies. A quart of strawberries from Florida was $17. They also instilled a 7.5% vat tax on everything. Mark found a large hardware and marine store, while Robert minded the boat. I was impressed by his radio abilities. We walked quite a distance to the store, so we got our exercise. Departed Marsh Harbour around 12:30 and had lunch onboard. More choppy seas and unable to sail. Got to the mark at Little Harbour around 4:30. The anchorage was full. I was able to lift up the line to the last mooring ball available. Mark and Robert secured our boat but it felt like we were in very close quarters. This is also catamaran city with the majority of the boats being different charter boat catamarans. One brand was Bali, so we will check it out when we get an internet connection. Mark and Robert dropped the dinghy in the water, but instead of adding the motor, they decided to paddle. The other suggestion was to swim to shore, but the ladies declined. We went to Pete's bar to pay $25 for the mooring ball. We also walked out from the bar to the ocean side,. It was an impressive rocky shoreline. Chris said it was similar to the crater surface of the moon. We walked around the beach, but the art gallery was closed and there was not much else open. We spoke to some folks that own houses on the Harbour. Lots more houses compared to 20 years ago. We were wondering if our cruising friends, Derek and Heather, still own their lot here. Chris and I made a yummy spaghetti dinner and Mark commented that we hadn't had any red meat in two weeks. Enjoyed by all. We had a few drops of rain while cooking dinner. The weather was not the greatest today. Tomorrow will be a long day at sea as we work our way closer to Disney's island.
