If we thought yesterday was bad...

The seas calmed greatly at Sandy Point and we were able to cook dinner and eat around the cockpit table. The breeze was lovely. We retired by 10. Woke up several times as the boat rocked and something was clanking. Mark kept checking to make sure the anchor was holding as the winds shifted. We ended up stern to shore. He got up to watch from the cockpit so I joined him. Thankfully, the anchor held. The winds began to blow harder, and they were well over 20 knots. Before sunrise we hauled anchor and headed back to our way point. However the angle of the wind and the big seas were making us unable to get to Gorda Cay. After consulting the charts, Mark thinks we can get into a position off the north of the island, but we don't know if there will be any protection from these seas.
