Helen & Mark
There was a little excitement leaving the St Augustine dock. Thankfully, the rest of the boaters were still asleep. We made the 7:30 Bridge of Lions' opening. It was a dull and dreary day and we thought we would see rain, but thankfully, it stayed dry. It was a much cooler day. We enjoyed the scenery and checking out all the new developments along the ICW. Mark's brother Jim took our picture as we sailed on the St Johns River and met us at our dock. He joined us in a celebratory drink onboard Charabia, toasting the safe completion of our journey. We had time to shower and change and then met Robert, Chris and Jim for dinner. Food was good as was the company. Robert & Chris, thanks for sharing our Bahamas cruise. We appreciated all your help along the way. The house survived and is in great shape. Thanks to our neighbor, Wayne and Evelyn and Jim & Deb for taking care of everything. Boat cleaning will begin tomorrow. Then boat repairs and upgrades will follow. Thanks to everyone who read our blog. We still need to download cameras, but we will add pictures.
