Stormy Day!

Gotten woken up around midnight by a power boater who tied up to a mooring ball in the anchorage and was playing very loud rap music. Then the rains started and chased them away. We had a couple of rain storms thru the night which woke us. Then it rained a few times thru the day, most of which is passing by us right now. Our wind indicator is telling us the max wind so far was 33 knots. They down graded the forecast thru the day to only 29 knots of wind. It's blowing a 'Hoolee', as our British cruising friends would say. One other power boat in our anchorage must have dragged as we saw him reset his anchor. We are getting the strong north winds now. When we woke up this morning the water was glassy clear without a ripple and no breeze. No sign of the sun as it was totally overcast. We took the dinghy to the marina as Mark was still researching things in Panama. On the way in, we helped someone who was towing in a good sized power boat to their boat ramp. We stopped at the fuel dock and topped up the dinghy fuel tank with just under 2 imperial gallons. Observed one of the locals in a big power boat called 'C'est La Vie', attempting to dock at the same fuel dock. I was in the dinghy as Mark took the fuel tank to the pump and was filling it at the time. He bashed his anchor into the dock as he motored straight into the cement dock. He didn't bat an eye and no one from the marina helped either of us. We quickly found out that the marina wifi would not connect. We moved over to the restaurant area where it worked yesterday but again could not connect long enough to place an order for a new starter for our boat engine. We finally gave up as we were sweating and there was no breeze to cool us off. Got back to the boat and decided to head to the Cost-u-Less store. near the end of the canal. Tied the dinghy to a tree outside of the bulk head and walked a few blocks, did not buy much. They didn't carry a couple of things that I was looking for. We got their wifi login and password as we were leaving the store. Will note that for our next visit. The weather has turned much cooler and even the closed up cabin temperature is down to 81 degrees. We will be paying attention to who is swinging where in this anchorage. We hope the worst of the storm will pass by before we head to bed.
