Watched the movie, Superman 2 last night. It had a bit better plot but not sure I liked the ending on that one too. It was cool enough for sleeping. Woke up around 7. Mark added the tens machine to my leg and slept a bit longer. Finally got out of bed around 8. We had heavy dew on the deck as the temperature must have been colder overnight. The dew was dripping from the hatch window but we had the cover over it caught the drips. It was 71 degrees in the salon. The sun was already up and shining brightly. Not many clouds in the sky. It promised to be another hot day. The trees and rocks are reflecting nicely into the waters around us. Mark checked Google Maps and it says that the land around us is actually called, Brooklyn on one side and further over is Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Mark had cereal for breakfast with banana. I heated up some veggies. Then Mark worked on sending all the paperwork to the broker at Dazmac. He said it looked like they had all the paperwork he needed. He will be working with the Australian Border Control/Customs in order to import our boat. I worked on the starboard front window using a automotive headlight cleaning solution hoping to improve the clarity of the windows. Then lunch was grilled cheese, ham & tomato sandwich for Mark. I heated up some veggies and added some cheese and ham pieces. Then Mark talked to Jim on a voice call. We are attempting to save our monthly data so I only checked emails today. Then we headed to our cabin for a short nap. The wind was blowing hard at times. Over 20 knots, according to our wind instrument. Big gusts pushed our boat closer to shore. Or, at least it looked like we were very close to shore. Mark checked that our mooring ball was holding. It was! I cleaned the port side window. The sun was hot but at least there was a breeze. Our salon temperature is 93 degrees. The breeze helped but we were both sweating.
It was hotter out. The breeze was not so steady when I was out there. But when I came in the cabin it was pretty gusty once more. Mark replaced some ceiling screws around the boat. The odd one won't hold. He put new bigger screws in their place and that worked well. Mark finished putting together the trim on the port aft hatch. Then he got into his swimsuit. He talked about going for a swim in the cold water to cool off. Then decided to scrub the props. So, I got into my swimsuit and also wore my jelly fish jumpsuit. I was happy that the pieces I scraped off didn't end up on my bare skin. Mark said next time, he will wear his as well. That will be tomorrow's task. I completed scraping the starboard hull. Yes, the water was very cold going in. I also worked on the port hull on the inside. I thought I had scraped some the other day. However, it was coated in something that easily came off. There were tons of small fish checking out all the pieces to see if there was anything good to eat. They stayed with me the whole time I was in the water. Mark got leg cramps and headed out of the water. He set up the sun shower, adding cold water to the bag as the sun heated it up so much. We both showered when I got out. The wind was really gusting and we were on the side of the boat that was in the shade. I was freezing despite the hot sunny day. Then the sun shower water felt boiling hot. Oh my! We sat up on the deck and dried off. The sun was hot and the breeze had calmed. Got into the dinghy and took a boat card over to Janet. Asked if she would like to come our way for a drink. Mark told her that he would pick her up in our dinghy around 5 pm. Then we went by the other boat in our anchorage. We asked Ray & Edith if they would like to come over for happy hour. They were agreeable. We had less than an hour to do a quick clean up on the boat. We put out some snacks, but they brought their own beverages and some snacks too! We gave them a quick tour and then sat around the table in the cockpit. Loved our nautical chat with many interesting conversation topics. Ray & Edith gave Janet a ride back to her boat around 8 pm. We can hear the cicadas singing in the trees around around this bay. The sun set was over the big hill beside us, so we really didn't see much of it. The wind has all but disappeared. It nice and peaceful here. Thanks to all for sending us email updates and messages. We got some good exercise in the water today. I do believe we will sleep well.
