Moved to Mooring Ball & Engine Inspection

We watched the rest of the movie, Adrift, last night. It was a sad story. Thankfully, we didn't have to do our long sails with any hurricanes around. We stayed up until 9:30 or so and then headed to bed. Slept well. We were both up just after 7. Mark had cereal and banana for breakfast. I heated up the leftover veggies from last night and added some spinach and cheese. By the time I finished, Mark was checking the engines. Our mechanic was supposed to come around 8:30. It was after that time when he called to say he had to do something else this morning. So, we told him that we would go ahead and move locations. Soon after, Mark hauled the anchor while I drove. We motored over to the RPAYC. We used their pump out and filled our water tank. Then I spent a few minutes hosing off the deck. Headed towards Scotland Island to meet up with Don. He was at our mooring ball when we arrived in Elvina Bay and handed us the mooring line. Mark added two lines so we are secured to the mooring line. Mark gave Don a walk-thru of all the different electronics on board. Then we followed Don in his dinghy with us in our dinghy to shore. There was a public dock with enough room to add our dinghy. It was the place where Don left his dinghy as he is still living on his 50+ catamaran. Mark secured the dinghy to the dock. Don drove us back to Winnererremy Park so we could retrieve our rental car. Mark figured out that he forgot his phone, so we got in the car and raced back to the dinghy and back to the boat. He was expecting a message from Don, the Yanmar mechanic, but no message was received but he sent Don our new location. It was a hot day with a nice breeze on the water. Salon temperature is already 84 degrees by noon. We had lunch on board. Decided to use up the rest of our eggs and some veggies. Added the last onion and red pepper along with some chips of ham & cheese. Yummy! Mark decided to take a nap out in the cockpit. I was answering some emails when Don showed up on his RIB. Mark had to cut short today's nap. Mark explained the changes and maintenance this boat has gone thru since we took ownership. He started up both engines and ran them while Don did his checks. The bottom line is that Don said that our engines looked good. He will be putting together a report which will be included with the broker information for our boat sale. That was great news for us! The area behind our boat is residential but not accessible by land. There is a public dock close by and we have seen many boats that look like ferry boats coming and going. Some had children, so they must be transporting them to school on land somewhere. Mark attached the broker's for sale signs to each side of our boat, on the life lines. We also have a Multihull Solutions flag to hoist but the wind is supposed to be up tonight, so will wait until tomorrow to hoist it. Or at least we will hoist it before we leave on Thursday. Then we spent a few minutes re-sewing the zipper on the piece that connects the roof of the salon to the bimini. Mark enjoyed an sg&t beverage with some taco and hummus. We are moored very close to some of the boats around us in this bay. We are all on mooring balls, so we should have enough space between us. We are still spending time going thru things on the boat. Trying to figure out what to do with a number of items on board. We will donate them, if it comes to that. Thanks for your emails. We appreciate your updates. Mark's relatives in Alabama fared well with yesterday's deadly tornadoes. It's still very sunny out. The sun is thinking about setting, but it will be done behind the hills of this bay. The land is part of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Tomorrow, we will be packing for our upcoming land touring.
