Woke up around 7 am and could not sleep any longer. Watched some tv news and then got dressed. Decided to head to the dining room for breakfast. We shared a table with two other couples. One was from just outside Melbourne and the other was from just north of Sydney. Enjoyed our breakfast. I had some fruit and yogurt and then some eggs. Mark had a ham and cheese omelet. Had a nice chat over breakfast. Then headed up to our cabin. Got ready to head out to walk on Deck 7. Walked two laps and took a break walking around the atrium area. Then walked another two laps. We played a few rounds of shuffle board before heading to Donna, the astronomer's Serendipity lecture. All about being in the right place to make discoveries. Lots of great stories. We waited to get into the Princess Theater since the lecture on Malyasia had many interested attendees. Spoke to Donna to let her know that I spoke to Jody about getting Donna to do some star gazing nights on board. Donna included this information in her lecture. Looking forward to that coming up in our cruise. The lecture ended around noon. Mark wanted to have lunch on Deck 14, Lido deck, since he wanted to play water volleyball at 1 pm. Lunch was lots of veggies with some beef. Mark had a ham and cheese sandwich with a few other items. Mark had an apple dessert with coffee. I tried it too. Then we headed back to our cabin to get into our swimsuits and headed over to the Deck 12 swimming pool. Played several games over the hour. Lots of fun. My right arm was hurting today, in addition to my left leg, which started hurting yesterday. I gained a bruise on the back of my right arm. After we finished, we walked up to our cabin and changed. Then headed down for the 2:30 Crossing the Equator ceremony. We found a couple of seats at the bar, close to the stage. Then they paraded out the ship's cruise director and her staff in costume. Several passengers, who were crossing the equator for the first time were gathered together. The staff plied them with spaghetti and different colored goop. Then they took pails of water from the swimming pool to hose them off. Not sure why they just didn't use one of the two showers off the pool. Once done, we headed back to our cabin and then headed to Deck 14 for today's Ryder Cup. Not as many attendees today. We had to bounce off a wall and around a pylon, then back against the same wall to the cup. I missed one of my shots, so Mark beat me by one stroke. We headed to our cabin and showered. Took a break and I fell asleep. Got dressed and headed to dinner. Mark and I both had the chicken tonight as the nightly choices were either seafood, lamb or pork. Enjoyed our time with our dinner mates. Then headed up to watch the Movie Under the Stars. Tonight was Marry Poppins, second movie. It was okay, and we managed to stay awake thru the end of the movie. Mark loves their popcorn. We decided to skip the main show and headed back to our cabin. Watching a movie on our tv. Our wifi ended just after breakfast, as Mark only bought it for 24 hours. We have a port stop in Singapore tomorrow. Then the next day will be a stop in Malaysia instead of the scheduled stop in Sri Lanka. Thanks for the emails and messages we received today!
