Woke up at around 7 but decided to sleep a little longer. Got dressed and headed to the dining room for breakfast. I had some fruit and eggs & bacon. Mark had French toast and bacon with some fruit. Enjoyed sharing our table with two other couples, plus one lady. They were all from Australia. Headed back to our cabin afterwards. Watched some tv and then headed to the Princess Theater for the astronomy lecture with Donna, the Astronomer. There was a talk on Dubai, which ran over. So, we walked the deck several times as we waited for the lecture to begin. The lecture finished by lunch time, so we walked up to Deck 14 Lido. I had lots of veggies and a little beef stir fry. Mark had a sandwich and some enpanadas. We couldn't find an open table, so we shared with Rob & Vivienne from Australia. Had a lovely talk with them. This is their first world cruise and they are going the whole way around. Headed back to our cabin and got changed into our swim suits. Walked down to the pool and played water volleyball on Deck 12. Quit early as they were supposed to have a tug-of-war with the different crew departments. We waited a long time as they didn't have the rope available. It was hot outside and I was pretty beat by the time they finished. The entertainers were the champs. Got some water at the poolside bar and headed back to our room to change out of our swimsuits. Then we headed to our Ryder Cup Challenge on the staircase at the back of the ship. We had to putt down a set of stairs.. Mark and I both shot a 2 today! That was pretty good for us. We headed to the library to check our scores and mine is pretty bad. I stayed and worked on a jigsaw puzzle. Mark's sinuses were bugging him so he went back to the cabin and rested. I joined him after a while. Took a shower. Changed and got dressed for dinner. Our table mates were already there when we arrived. We are usually done withing 1 ½ hours. Lots of good conversations. After dinner, we went to Deck 12 and watched the Movie Under the Stars tonight. It was called Second Act. It was not as good as I thought it would be. We didn't go the Princess Theater for the daily show a Mark wanted to rest some. We were told that Donna, the Astronomer, was planning a 10 pm star gazing session off the back of the boat. The bridge was able to turn off the deck lights. However, the billowing smoke from the smoke stacks messed up some of the stars and constellation. It was so very windy, so we had issues hearing Donna as she pointed out several constellations and stars. The Southern Cross is still visible despite us being north of the equator. My neck was getting sore looking up into the sky. We are sailing thru the Arabian Sea. We have one more full day at sea before arriving in Muscat. Thanks to everyone that sent us an email or message today. It was great to receive some news!
