Sea Princess Sea Day - 06/18/19
18 June 2019 | Mediterranean Sea
Helen
Slept in today. We took a peek out our balcony to see a very flat Mediterranean Sea. It pretty much stayed that way all day. However, the breeze was cool. Got dressed and walked down to the dining room for breakfast. Breakfast hours were almost over but there were still people in the dining room. We shared a table with an Aussie couple that we have had breakfast with before. They remembered us and we had a very enjoyable visit with them. We walked several times around Deck 7. Then I headed to the gym and Mark went back to our cabin for a rest plus to start researching Barcelona, Spain. I walked one of the treadmills and watched a Barcelona travel show. So much for us to see tomorrow when we arrive there. Our tv news channels have been restored as of today. We got to watch the news for a change. Decided to join our volleyball friends at 1 pm, so we changed into our swimsuits. It was much cooler temperatures today. We had a quick bite to eat at the bbq area of Deck 14, Lido. Getting into the swimming pool was tough when the water was cold as was the breeze. After a while it didn't really feel cold as we were moving around as we played. Lots of fun and laughs. Headed to the hot tub after we were done playing. The water seemed to be extremely hot. We visited with a couple other volleyball players. Then headed back to the room. We each took a shower and got dressed. Our Ryder Cup challenge was at 2:30 instead of 3, so we had to rush down to the Sports bar. Mark did very well today, while I did not. None of my chip shots thru a hula hoop were successful. Oh well. I went and worked on my puzzle for a while. A couple of other women came to help out. It seems like we are missing pieces. I was able to put several in their right place. I did not have my reading glasses, so hopefully, the pieces I found to fit, were the correct ones. Headed back to our cabin and changed for dinner. We decided that since so many people just wear jeans to dinner, we would join them. I also wore my sweatshirt as the breeze outside was still quite cool. Plus, we planned to head outside for the Movie Under the Stars. Only Ian and Beverly were at our dinner table this evening. Greg and Maxine must be under the weather. Enjoyed our dinner conversation. We all had the same main course of veal cordon bleu. We were done early and headed out to Deck 12 to find a seat. Thankful that we found some open padded lounges for watching the movie, Star Wars - The Last Jedi. I sent Mark back for a few more blankets as I was pretty cold. Enjoyed some popcorn as we watched the lengthy movie. After it was over, we headed up for a hot drink. We noticed that the sun had set but the colors in the sky were very beautiful. We climbed up to the next floor and captured a few pictures and made a few calls. Headed back to our cabin. Putting the blog together early. We will try to get some extra sleep tonight as our ship will reach Barcelona first thing tomorrow. We are still researching things to do while in port. Thanks for your emails and messages. Enjoying each and every day!
