Sea Princess Sea Day - 07/04/19
04 July 2019 | Baltic Sea
Our time changed back one hour, so we are now 6 hours ahead of East Coast time. Woke up around 9, but Mark had not set our clocks. So, we really weren't up too early. It was nice to sleep late. There was a cold breeze on our balcony. It was mostly sunny, but at times it was overcast and rainy. We got up and headed to breakfast in the dining room today. We sat with two other Australia couples, one of which we have shared a meal with. Lots of funny stories to entertain us. Headed back to our cabin, and didn't do much more before lunch time. Watched some tv. Then walked on Deck 7, but dressed warmly as the gusts were strong and cold. We went to Deck 14, Lido, for a late lunch. Then caught up on the internet and watched some more tv. Headed to the atrium for the Ryder Cup. They had a beautifully decorated cake in the atrium for July 4th. They had lots of red, white and blue decorations as well. I scored very low on our golfing hole. It was down a ramp and around a corner to the hole with plenty of sand traps. My first shot was wonderful. I am not sure if I snagged the sand trap on my second shot which hit the hole. Oso has taken over for Jonah who left the ship in Latvia. He gave me a score of 2. Mark scored a 3. what fun! I bought some nail polish in the gift store for $15, since my acrylic nail polish was peeling off. Then we headed back to our cabin. Showered and then polished my nails. Got ready for dinner. Met our dinner mates in the dining room. I didn't like any of the 6 or 7 main meal choices, so I took the standard chicken dinner that is offered every night. After dinner, we headed to the Sports Bar for a July 4th trivia session. It was very entertaining. We met a couple from Vancouver, Canada. The wife was from Iowa. We teamed up for the trivia and won overall. We each got some Princess gifts which was very nice. Not that many people participated. We enjoyed meeting some other Americans at the US passenger get-together. It was at the same location, but we had a few minutes to spare. We decided to play a game of pool. However, when Mark racked up the balls, they all moved towards the far end and dropped in the corner pocket. I guess the ship was moving some to cause that. After the get-together ended, we walked over to the Princess Theater for the David Copperfield show. However, this David was from England and did a singing and comic routine. We sat in the second row. No one sat in the front row. David selected Mark and one other guy from the audience. It was a funny act, which Mark helped him with, but the other guy did the comic part as he dismissed Mark. We laughed so much. Then headed up to Deck 14, Lido, for a coffee and late dessert. Met up with Jeffrey and walked back to our deck talking about things to do in Stockholm tomorrow. It's supposed to be in around 16C, with a high probability of rain. Hoping that it's dry when we head out in the ship's tender, as we do not have a place at the dock. Not sure what we will be touring. The tender will drop us off in the old part of the city. We should be able to see the many islands after 1 am this morning. It's really blowing outside and we can feel some movement in the ship. Glad we are inside, safe and secure. Thanks so much for the emails and messages. I posted a few pictures this morning on Facebook. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!
