Woke up several times and eventually got up around 8 am. Watched some news before getting dressed. Headed up to Deck 7, Lido, for breakfast. I stuck with fruit, cereal and yogurt. Mark had an omelet and some sides for his breakfast. We visited with a couple from Arizona. The husband was a former meteorologist and had lots of questions about our travels. Mark gave him one of our boat cards. They went off to attend a church service as today is Sunday. We attended a lecture from Jonathan Crass in the Illuminations theater on 'Measuring the Heavens'. He informed us to pick up a ticket for one of the Planetarium shows that he was hosting today. We selected tickets for the 1:15pm show titled, Live Planetarium. Decided to go to the gym afterwards. I walked the treadmill for almost an hour. I also worked out on a few machines. This ship does not have very many treadmills and they were pretty much taken when we got there. At least one machine was broken. I could not get the tv channels to work and was able to move to another machine, when someone left. However, my ear buds wouldn't connect and I ended up holding on it. Watched the last day of golf at The Open in Ireland while I walked. Now, that was incredibly bad weather for this weekend's golf. Mark came and collected me. He had taken our Garmin up on the top deck to get a fix. He also walked the deck outside. Mark found the bridge deck viewing area, that is only open on certain days. We enjoyed both of the shows. Lunch was in-between. Then after the planetarium show, we wandered into the casino for their Roulette Tournament. It cost $10 for 5 spins, using $100 worth of house chips. I managed to do well enough to make the second highest score. The tournament lasted for 1 ½ hours with the final at 3 pm. There were 5 of the top players playing in the final. I used the first 4 rounds to pick several numbers. After 4 rounds I only had 30 chips left. I put them all on number, 7. Can you believe that I won!! Everyone else saved some chips and played too many numbers. I ended up with the highest score of 1080! As the winner, I received $200. This was so very exciting! We headed back to the room. Watched a movie on tv. Then showered and got ready for dinner. It was a cold and overcast day. Our high temperature was only 15C. It may have rained some as the decks were wet when we looked out. Terry & Sheila were celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary today and joined John & Nancy and the two of us for dinner. We still cannot seem to finish our meal in under 2 hours. At least my dinner was very hot as was the extra vegetables. We headed back to our cabin. Then joined tonight's entertainment with the singers, dancers and Queen Mary II band performance as well as the guest flutist, Clare Langan. They all performed well. We grabbed a coffee and hot chocolate and took a glass of water back to the cabin. Cannot believe that this cruise is more than half over. It's going by way too fast. We will be falling back ½ hour with tonight's time change. I love getting the extra sleep time. Thanks for your emails and messages. Enjoy your day!
