Woke up around 8. Decided to take an early walk, before the humidity kicked in. Not sure we started early enough. We walked around the marina and it was pretty hot and sweaty. We did notice the 44 foot Fountaine Pajot sailboat in the marina. It is the same maker as our cat, but much bigger. We did a big circle around and headed back. Had breakfast and showered. Mark worked on the letter for our healthcare, which hopefully proves that when we arrived in the US. We had lunch plans, but just as we were due to meet up, it got postponed until tomorrow. Mark wanted to have lunch at Chick-fil-A. Then we stopped for a couple of things at the Walmart Food Store and then headed back. We walked to the next building to visit our good friend, Doug. Thanks, Doug, for a wonderful time together. We loved the view from the top floor! So beautiful! Thanks, also, for the many emails and messages that you sent us while we away. We truly appreciated all of them! Robert suggested that we should take Chris' car for a ride. Mark was impressed that it started right up. We headed to Jacksonville Beach. We took a lovely walk on the beach, just off the Marriott hotel. There was a nice breeze, which made our walking more comfortable. Our high today was over 90 degrees. There were a few swimmers just off the beach. The waves were pretty small. The view was so beautiful. Headed back to the condo. We stopped at the car washing area and washed the car before putting it back in the garage. Started planning out our days needed to head north. We will remain in Jacksonville a few more days. We also have a few more get-togethers arranged before we leave. Enjoyed some leftovers for dinner. Then started a load of laundry. Thanks for the emails and messages. Enjoy your day!

Vessel Name: Charabia
Vessel Make/Model: Fountaine Pajot / Athena
Hailing Port: Jacksonville, FL
Crew: Mark &Helen
About:
We are both computer folks that were live aboard cruisers back in the 90s. We settled in Jacksonville Florida after escaping the great white north and cruising the Bahamas, T&C, DR and points south down to Trinidad. [...]
Extra: Charabia is a French slang word for nonsense or gibberish. It derives from Arabic "sharab" which means alcohol. When you drink (too much) alcohol, you start talking Charabia. The original owners named her and Mark liked the name so it stuck.
