Got to sleep in today, which was a nice change. After breakfast, we both worked on getting packed. Then headed out shopping. It was overcast most of the day with rain at different times of the day.
We headed back for a late lunch. Ran some more errands and our day was over. Got a lot of walking in as we hit a few shops. Surprised that none of them were very busy, with today being Sunday. Watched some tv as we cooked a delicious dinner. Mark installed our new radar detector in our vehicle. Then he did some research on boats for sale in Florida. He is definitely looking for our new boat. I worked on a load of laundry. We are pretty much packed and ready for our drive north. This will be a short adventure as we visit friends in Charlotte, North Carolina and Virginia, as well as attending the Rice vs Army college football game on August 30th. Go Owls! Also, we plan to meet up with family in Connecticut. We have an early appointment at our house tomorrow before we leave Florida. The weather has been hot down here and wet. We don't expect this kind of heat when we head north. Thanks for the emails, messages and phone calls.
