Helen
Enjoyed sleeping in today. We stayed up until after midnight watching a movie, but gave up as it was getting too crazy. We woke up around 8 am. Showered and dressed. Then headed down for the breakfast that was included with our room. We both ate the breakfast sandwich which included a dish of fresh fruit and orange juice. Headed back to our room and packed up our things. Watched some tv. Connected to their wifi and got our emails and messages. It was around 9:30 before we left the hotel. Drove by some of the boat yards around the waterfront of Annapolis. Mark was looking for some multi hulls but we didn't see any. One yard had a lot of boats for sale and Mark was wanting to check it out. We didn't stay very long. Drove around the waterfront to the downtown area. I bought a couple of Annapolis tops before we left. Our gps was tracking us back thru the downtown DC area, so we changed and went over the big Bay bridge as we headed north and east. We also went over several other big bridges including the one over the Chesapeake-Delaware Canal and then one other even longer bridge over the Delaware River. The views were amazing. We both remember a time back in 1994, when we sailed our Lady H in this area. There were a few places with grid locked traffic and many different tolls charges, including the NJ Turnpike for $7.25. It was a lovely sunny and hot day. Our temperature reached 81 degrees. There were plenty of great scenic views on our drive today. We stopped along the NJ Turnpike at one of the combination gas station and restaurant stops. We had a late lunch. Then continued our drive to Park Ridge, NJ. Stopped a few times so Mark could stretch his legs. We did see a few really bad drivers. They pull out to pass us and then cut us off getting back in the lane. I am not sure how Mark missed hitting one of them. Everyone is in such a big hurry all the time. We arrived at our hotel around 4 pm. We got settled in our room and watched tv. Mark had a short nap. The Rice team did not arrive until after 7 pm due to several delays. Lara joined the rest of the coaches wives for a dinner out. We joined Mike and Parker at their room. We talked about going out to dinner, but instead, ordered room service dinner. Mine was very good as was Mark's. We had fun playing with Parker. I took the game, Left, Right, Center, which we all enjoyed playing. I think Mark was the big winner. We watched some of the UCLA/Cincinnati college football game. It was after 11 pm before we headed to our room. We were both worn out. Thanks for the emails and messages. We have been keeping track of the upgraded hurricane named, Dorian. The track shows it going towards the middle area of Florida. I kept sending out intentions for it to dissipate or downgrade or not be anywhere close to our house. Thanks for all your well wishes.

About:
We are both computer folks that were live aboard cruisers back in the 90s. We settled in Jacksonville Florida after escaping the great white north and cruising the Bahamas, T&C, DR and points south down to Trinidad. [...]
Extra: Charabia is a French slang word for nonsense or gibberish. It derives from Arabic "sharab" which means alcohol. When you drink (too much) alcohol, you start talking Charabia. The original owners named her and Mark liked the name so it stuck.
