Thursday we woke to a very pleasant temperature after heavy rain throughout the night. It was very overcast and comfortable, even slightly on the cool side!

We decided it was a good day to try out our new breadmaker, works well and great smell all throughout the boat.

The Marina provides a bus service for all the yachties to a large modern shopping centre at Bukit Indah, only 20 mins away. We decided at the last minute to catch the 11am bus and return on the 1pm thinking 1.5 hours would be heaps of time. We ended up visiting all 3 supermarkets, huge Tesco which sells absolutely everything, electrical goods groceries,alcohol, hardware, clothing etc etc. There is a large Giant supermarket and then at the very upmarket shopping centre all designer labels clothing shoes etc there is another supermarket AEON which is also department store like David Jones.

Somehow we managed to miss the 1pm bus and caught the 2pm back. Ate too much as well, as there were so many food places. Made a few purchases such as Malaysian Flags, stocked up on those as they don't seem to last long in the weather conditions here. My ipad keyboard died so replaced that too and Chris got a polisher/buffer to do finish all the polishing on the boat one day that the local boys didn't do.
The local boys here don't seem to be too interested in work for any lenght of time and get over it very quickly. They start with enthusiasm which wanes after a couple of hours. We'd discuss all we wanted done, agree on a price and get 2/3rd of the job done, all too hard or can't do that!! The Kudat boys worked so hard and took so much pride in what they did when cleaning the boat charged a fraction of the price too mind you we would always pay them more than they asked but the local boys here we only paid the given price which was a bonus considering they never completed the tasks.

The remainder of the afternoon back to finish emails and cleaning.
