Caught the early ferry 8.45am very civilised hour to Port Langkasuka where we hired a motorscooter for the day. First job on the list was to have Dianne's bike puncture repaired. Dropped into a bike shop at Matsirat not far from Airport, fixed on the spot with a new tube fitted for next to nothing! After checking out the elcectrical stores for vacuum cleaners as ours died yesterday we dropped the tyre back at ferry terminal to save carrying it around with us. Decided to go to Skycable for the best Ice Kacang we've ever had and they still win our vote as #1! Couldn't pass the elephant without feeding it, so stopped and bought some food and enjoyed feeding it again. Headed off towards Black Sand Beach, North East, as we haven't been up that way before then carried on around to Kuah Town - South - to check out vacuum cleaners and micro SD chip. Vacuum cleaners much the same price so decided to go back to Matsirat to save lugging it all the way back on the bike. Stopped at Thai place for lunch and enjoyed soft shell crab and sweet and sour fish. Couldn't find a supermarket with the TEa we liked at Kuah so decided to go to Langkawi Fair just down the road to the large Bhillion Supermarket stocking up on a few supplies, also purchased a few polo's at the recently opened Giardino shop with promotional sale. We spotted the Inetrantional paint shop on our way back - so stopped and enquired about antifoulong as that will be on the list of "to dos" shortly. Travelled up the highway back to Matsirat, virtually been right around the island - very hot but not so noticable travelling open air on the motorscooter! Picked up the vacuum cleaner and finally found a shop that sold elastic which we had been searching for. Dropped the gear back off at the ferry terminal and went into Cenang Beach for some rehyrdation - coconut iceblended - hit the spot and just had time to chill having an hours reflexology before catching the 6.30 pm ferry back to Rebak. Still full from lunch just had a light dinner on board Gin and Tonics, biscuits and cheese, finished off with tea and Date cake that Caroline made to bring with us!.
