After our long overnight trip from southern NJ, arrival in Newport was exciting. Newport Harbor on a Saturday afternoon is BUSY. When you are a little tired being surrounded by sailboats & power boats & ferry boats & mega yachts & tour boats all turning into the harbor together is nerve racking. We were quite happy to grab a mooring ball in Brenton Cove and then watch it all happen around us for nine days. We also took in a "backstairs & staff" mansion tour, the Cliff Walk, the Yachting Hall of Fame and a day trip to the Herreshoff Museum in Bristol, RI.
