Arrived in Georgetown

We arrived in Georgetown at 3:30pm in an almost empty anchorage, in winter there are about 400 boats in this harbor and there might be 15 now!!!
The downside is the vegetable selection in the grocery store is very limited, I got some bananas and apples for the boys but forget the lettuce and veggies in general....We motored from Staniel Cay to Georgetown, waiting for the wind to turn west which it finally did 1 hour before our arrival so we could motor sail the last hour, went through a pretty big squall but we did not have to reef the sails so it was easy, except that we did not like the lightning strikes all around us! The beach on the Oceanside of Georgetown was calm and as beautiful as ever (my favorite beach in the world of what I have seen so far anyway) ; Ryan and Alec took the paddle boards and cruised along the shore at sunset, everything was idyllic until the.... mosquitoes showed up, it has been raining like crazy here the last 2 weeks and they are ferocious, so thank God we made those really nice mosquito screens for the boat hatches before our departure (you see Vicky, it did not take long before I was glad we finished this project, it worked wonderfully!). We are going to provision today and head for the ragged island tomorrow.
