We arrived in Water Cay (North Ragged Islands)on Father's Day, Sunday at 3:30pm. as soon as we anchored on the south end of water cay, we went spearfishing and it was so much fun!!!
It was blowing a good 15-18 knots of wind but we went at almost slack tide and the boys speared 3 nice hoffish, they were in heaven! There were a few boats in the north anchorage, lady Mary , a fishing boat from Spanish Wells and a catamaran with a team of scientists measuring and surveying conch colonies. Next day, we went spearfishing again, 2 sessions of 2 hours, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, the boys dove sometimes down to a good 20-25ft and they slept very well that night!!!We got 4 more hogfish, one grouper and three really nice conch, what an amazing day!!!!
I love to see Ryan and Alec being so active, they get along so well and they definitely are a really good hunting team, if one of them did not get the fish on the first shot, the other one took over as soon as the first run out of breath, they got 2 fish working together like that. They cleaned all the fish and then relaxed.... reading... yes I said reading, both of them, it did help that we ran out of juice for the computer games but nevertheless, it did happen!
