Hog Cay
27 June 2013 | South in the Ragged Islands, Bahamas

Just south of double breasted, lay Hog Cay; we decided to anchor on the second beach of the island where the cruisers yacht club is. The yacht club is rustic, beachcomber décor entirely made from wood, buoys, and all kind of artifacts found on the ocean beaches, with hundred of handmade dated boat signs left by passing cruisers, to mark their presence at this far outpost. You can access the ocean beaches through a very nice long path that goes over the hill then along both beaches. Just 20 minutes away by dinghy, Duncan town is the only settlement in the whole chain of the Ragged Islands, we went there to get some bread, it was pretty quiet to say the least and the mail boat did not come for two weeks at least, it was due the same afternoon so we actually came back empty handed, beside can goods, they were out of water gallon, ginger ale or ginger beer, wine, beers, veggies, so we hope to be more successful tomorrow when we come to pick up the three loafs of white bread made by Sheila.
