Crossing from Morgan’s Bluff (Andros) to west Bay (New Providence)

04 March 2016
Nathalie
We left early this morning and were able to sail (slowly, there were only 12 knots of wind!) to West Bay where we will join our friends on Aphrodite . They are a Canadian family with four adorable children on a long term cruising adventure. David helped Rick at the beginning of their trip to move the boat from the east coast to the west coast of Florida to undergo a major retrofit. They came to the keys to test their systems and there was, unfortunately, still quite a bit of work left to do so Rick and David helped each other, (Rick helped us with the dock, David helped him with the boat). They are in West Bay since a week and love this anchorage. We were invited for ice cream (almond ice cream with sweet potatoes and orange flavor,Delicious!!!) and had a really nice evening. We travel pretty fast, and decided to leave the next morning for the Exumas so we will see them later, hopefully in Georgetown.

En Francais: La traversee Morgan's Bluff to West Bay
