Arrived in the Exumas (Norman’s Cay)
05 March 2016
Nathalie
Motored all day, crossing the banks to the Exumas and anchored on the west side of Norman's cay for the night. We are hoping to get this North wind and sail to Georgetown tomorrow, or at least quite a bit south. We will then, be close to the Jumentos, our goal. We usually like to visit and stop along the chain of the Exumas Cays on our way back home since the wind is 90% of the time, blowing the right way for sailing, on our return path. Right now we are trying to go east then south every time there is no wind or those rare north blows coming with a cold front. There is one expected tomorrow! The west side of Norman's cay was fine for a one night anchorage. We were hoping for a little bit more wind to sail today so we just hopped to Shroud cay and spend the night of March 6th there. Aphrodite joined us late afternoon, we met for a beer and chips and went back to the boat early because the wind was now really picking up making lifting the dinghy a little hairy!
