Great weekend!
31 October 2011
I'm still making steady progress, albeit a little slower than what I'm hoping for. It's difficult with only one day per week available. This weekend -
1. Waterproofed the new running lights Sammi and I installed last weekend,
2. Identified and corrected a wiring error on my part,
3. Wired shore power in through the 30a breaker and to the isolation transformer,
4. Troubleshot the bilge pump, found the float switch is good but the pump itself is bad. Need to do a bit of construction to get a decent mounting system for the pump and switch.
Making progress! It was nice to be able to reach over and flip a switch to make the lights come on when the sun went down. Dave Baxter was over last weekend taking measurements, my new main is in production :-) . DC infrastructure is complete, I can wire things in as necessary. AC is nearly complete, it's just a matter of connecting the dots. Two big projects remain: getting the propane system up to date, and getting the head installed.
Oh, and I've begun the search for a good heating system to get me through the winter. Propane? Electric? Oil? Hmm...
