Another great weekend

21 November 2011
Got the new stove in this weekend, what a pain THAT was. The stove itself is fine, but the hole it needed to mount into... ugh. anyway, it's done! Just have to connect propane and test the system out.

big thing: we got the last coat of bottom paint on last night. Yes, I said NIGHT. Stephanie and I were out there for three hours painting the bottom with only artificial light to work from. Got it all done, though, the bottom is ready for launching.

I want to launch on Wednesday, but I think Perkins Diesel is going to screw my schedule up. I called them 2 weeks ago, giving them 3 weeks to fix things up. The first week they forgot about me, then tried to blame others for not getting it done. The second week they sent somebody out on Monday on his way to another job, but he only had time for a cursory look and never came back. Think they can do the job in 3 days? Neither do I. I could be wrong, they could have parts on order or something, but I really think what's happening here is that they're more concerned with Rich Tynes and his multiple projects than they are with helping out one little guy with an engine issue...
