Chris
We got up at 4:45AM and headed down toward to the Cape St Andre. We made it to Nosy Makamba which is just south of Majunga about 70 miles from our anchorage last night. Initially we had south easterlies which were quite strong. We even saw a 40 knot gust but fortunately southeast is offshore here so the seas were not that bad. In the early afternoon the winds stopped for about 20 minutes and then sea breeze filled in from the west which is typical of this coast.

Nosy Makamba is a small island with lots of trees. We went ashore after we anchored searching for wild fruit which was unfruitful. Freefall is anchored next to us and will come over for dinner. Julie is experimenting with Chinese and is making fish in black bean sauce. We are also having an appetizer of brie with local honey and walnuts.

Tomorrow we head to Baly Bay which is just north of Cape St Andre. We will head to South Africa from there.
