Yesterday we got a berth in the Zululand Yacht Club, just around the corner from where we were tied up to the wall at Tuzi Gazi. We are on shore power and have unlimited water and Cisnecito is cleaner than she has been since Darwin.

Getting things done here is very time consuming - one day for laundry, one day for propane, one day for diesel, one day for shopping. We went to a giant mall with two supermarkets and a lot of other stores. Shopping for food was great but also a bit overwhelming because there was just so much selection. The prices are great however, so we replenished all of our stores and that is a good feeling.

We have had a bit of fun in between..a BBQ on Weds night at the YC with all of the boats. There is great sausage here called boerwurst which comes in very long rolls. We ate a ton of it and was a nice change from fish. Last night we had Pamina and Eagle Wing over for dinner. Henri brought a roast chicken and we had a great dinner followed by a lively game of CatchPhrase.

It was raining and very windy today so we didn't do much. I had my first go at making Norwegian pancakes which weren't as good as Teresa's, but still good. We had lunch in the Yacht Club with Acapella, a boat we met in Cocos Keeling and spent the afternoon watching movies. After all of our running around, it was a much needed relaxing day. We were just commenting earlier that we're still recovering from three months away from civilization. Although it was fabulous, it was also a lot of work.

The weather is supposed to clear tomorrow so we will get back to work. We are also hoping to visit a game park and may rent a car mid-week and go on a 2-day safari. Apparently this is the most convenient place to get to parks with the "big 5." As soon as we get a good weather window we will move on. We are hoping to get a long enough one that we can bypass Durban and make it all the way to Port Elizabeth...or even better, to Cape Town.
