Pineapple House

28 April 2007 | Antigua
Julie
We booked the Pineapple House for the crew during ASW. We did this online from Brazil and had absolutely no idea what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised when we got there. Chris and I wandered up the road that we thought it was on and asked the first people we saw if they knew where it was, and they said we should see it (and hear it!) just up the road. Turns out it's a quite well-known and lively spot.

The location was perfect - just a minute walk from the Antigua Yacht Club Marina - and it had a very open and casual atmosphere - good for breeze and socializing, but as it turned out, not so good for mosquitos and security.

Nonetheless, the Pineapple House was a great home base for the week. Most of the crew stayed there and we had some fun BBQs throughout the week. The owners, Stuart and Libby, were extremely helpful and when Libby had said in her email that "the Pineapple House likes to party," she was not kidding.
