The rest of the sail was quick and we arrived in the evening on the 8th. Charts in Mexico are notoriously unreliable, so we had a hard time finding El Cid Marina. Based on their website, we were looking for a major resort with a 300 slip marina, but in actuality, that is what they have planned, and today it is no more than a 30 slip marina with a tiny dockmaster's office. It turned out to be a great marina, however, with very helpful staff. George, the office guy, drove us in to town the first night for dinner at a local placed called Amor, which happened to be all Americans, mostly wind surfers.

The town itself is very quaint. There is a main 'centro' surrounded by a few blocks, and not much more. We found some great restaurants (our favorite was the Pelicano) and a great laundry service. Provisioning was another story??"very limited selection and no place to buy in bulk.
