We sailed today to Isla Brincanco in the Islas Contreras. These islands are still part of the Coiba National Park. We had an uneventful slow sail until the last 10 minutes. A large lightning filled squall was bearing down on us as we approached Isla Brincanco. Fortunately our anchoring went smoothly as we literally dropped it as we were making our approach and then swung the boat around right as it hit. We were both drenched but glad to have a reasonable set. I think we might be sleeping lightly tonight as the squalls are bringing wind opposite the prevailing wind for short burst which makes anchoring difficult at best.
