Sojourn in Hastings

12 November 2020
Steve Leicester
Hastings is a bit of a hole but the Marina is the only one in Westernport with a ship Chandler and there are a couple of jobs to do following the shakedown cruise from Brighton. Besides, I was sick of the roly poly of the swing mooring at Cowes and the first real shower in six weeks is bliss. I will stay here for a few days under the assumption that this is my last civilised port before Refuge Bay and the Strait crossing.

Vessel Name: Galatea
Vessel Make/Model: Clansman 30
Hailing Port: Brighton
Crew: Steve Leicester
About: A sailing tragic going all the way
Extra: 6.7 tonnes of solid glass, integrated lead keel in a classic design. Built like a brick sh*those. And the boat is similarly well built. What could possibly go wrong?
