Woke to a beautiful sunny day and pulled up anchor to head for Tilos. Today was a perfect sailing day apart from a couple of windless spots we were able to make good time under only the head sail into Tilos.
We pulled up alongside in the harbour of Livhadia and much to our delight this is a lovely peaceful island which has not been overrun by tourists or tour operators like Kos, but very much like Loutra on Kythnos. So we did our normal stroll around and found a very nice taverna for lunch of Greek salad and chips. The cook/owner had just cooked himself a batch of sardines on the grill and before he sat down to enjoy it he gave Francis and I one each, just because. We love the warm and welcoming hospitality on these smaller islands. We thought to leave on Friday but it is so nice here we will stay and enjoy it for a couple of days.
