Tuesday 10 June 2014: Sneaking in another underwater picture
After a shave and trim for Francis on the back deck it is time to head back into Marmaris by bus to try to buy a new camera for Chris. Sadly her camera was lost last time we were there. We went by local bus to Marmaris today a one and a half hour trip along winding mountain roads through rocky forests and small villages. Passing ancient looking farms with little Turkish women dressed in colourful clothes and headscarves working in the fields cutting hay using a sickle. It is such a different scene to the tourist infested bay of Marmaris where some of the tourists walk around half naked exposing very fat white bodies, to the obvious disgust of many. In a Muslim country it is a bit surprising but I guess the Turks have realised that they can sacrifice some values for the sake of the money they can earn from these sun starved holiday makers.
The digital camera the variety is limited and too expensive here so we will wait till we get home to find a replacement. We did manage to get Turkcell Wifi so thanks Vodafone, but no thanks we now have reliable coverage, be it censored by Father State. After a very long day it is so good to get back to our lovely peaceful Clio and relax with a drink as the sun sinks.
And as this story does not ask for its own picture (we didn't take one of the fatties), I can slip in another underwater on from Bozuk Buku.
