Saturday 14 June 2014: Blue Monkeys in Gocek

This morning Francis woke to find that we had no power. Another Marine Angel's boat had come in overnight and unplugged our power to connect his own. Francis reversed that process and went to discuss marina etiquette with the owner of the plug (follow the electricity cable). He had been in this berth for two years, so figured that he owned the power box. There was some discussion and when Francis explained that he did not own a box but that it worked on a credit-card like basis and we had paid for the credit on this box he started to understand the ways of the world and apologised. They parted in a friendly fashion, and still no dolphin head in our bed the next morning.

After Friday's exercise, and to prevent an international diplomatic incident, it was Chris's turn to walk to the office and check how much of our credit had been chewed up by the monster power boat. Tolga has told us that we will move on Sunday to his berth where Clio will be once again amongst her own size class, we look forward to that.

Luxury the laundry has been done and delivered back to us and a lovely clean and repaired bimini is back in place. After a beer and chat with Tolga on the pontoon it is time to hunt for dinner. Tolga recommended that we try the newly opened restaurant the Blue Monkey. We took his advice and when we got there discovered that it was their opening night and found that they were not serving dinner but drinks and appetisers were free!! So we did not actually have dinner but filled up on yummy delights such as, guacamole, tiny layered sandwiches, fried cheese on a stick and deep fried potato balls that just kept being served, what a treat.
