Miss Bridget is now offically a crew member onboard Close Knit, she is trying to send an email to the Boyz!. If this dog had long hair she would be a Rastifarian, she is so laid back. Her Mother is a long haired English Cream, & they are known for their quiet peaceful nature. She is a light red color with patches of cream mixed in, & all her toe nails are light red! She is able to hold herself overnight, sometimes for up to 10 hours. So far we have not had any accidents, although the first day she did pee on the pee pad, But has since refused to use it. We are going to put a piece of astro turf in the back outside, & put netting around the back to stop her from falling overboard, That way she can be outside, something she enjoys. she travels well in the car & seems to have no fear of water, we have purchased a life jacket for her, incase her curiosity gets the better of her, although around here they have Gators, so we keep her on the leash when near the edge of water. The Bravada lost its transmission a few days ago, no reverse & a whinning forward at slow speed. We are not going to get it fixed, just donate it to Car Angel or someone. We rented a car for the last week to get around, although the marina has a 4x4 we can use for short trips ie shopping in the local town. Work is proceeding on the boat albeit slowly. We did manage to redo the bed in the rear cabin & it is now a full size, with a 8 inch memory foam matress, HEAVEN. We managed to keep the original facing with the drawers in tack, but had to cut the bedside night stand in half, still have to do a little trim work to make it look original. The windows will wait until the summer to be installed as we never seem to get enough days of dry weather in a row. The propane stove has to be re plumbed as the original had the old style fittings, but we did bring the hose & propane detector panel with us from Ruth, so that will be todays job. Jennifer is doing great with the paint brush, painted the floor in the aft head & painting the cuboards. We are also starting to install shelves in the various cuboards & cubby holes to help with storage. Jennifer has been having fun making the boat a home. Plants and all. She was itching to garden, even in a pot. We now have rosemary, cilantro, chives, parrsley and basil growing dockside. These will move on board when we start to travel. All is well in our cosmos.
New Pics will be up on Picassa by the end of the day.
