Another absolutely beautiful Island. Compass Cay, as we learned is surrounded by "Johnnyt Deep's" island. Visited by the famous, it is owned by one man, Tucker, who greets you at the dock. This splendid gentleman, the story goes, was a fisherman on an island that no one stayed on or claimed. The government asked if he would want to make life there as part of the rules when the British gave them their own governance. Tucker took the island. Today, with a half dozen rental homes, the best docks in the islands, a fabulous Crescent Beach and plenty of walking trails and you have a boaters paradise. He brought in some nurse sharks, that he feeds daily, that you can swim with if you have the will.
