And back to Cambridge Cay for a bit
11 January 2022 | Cambridge Cay
We really love the Exuma Land and Sea Park and we are hiding from pending westerly winds. So we are killing two birds with one stone.
Cambridge Cay has excellent moorings with excellent protection from most directions. They also have well-constructed and carefully maintained moorings. Picture a 1 1/2 inch Dacron tether and a mooring that is drilled 15 feet into the seabed. The moorings are design to handle boats up to 65 feet long, far larger than ours. Sometimes the current and the waves are rough, but we are secure.
We went on a walk on the beach (photo) this morning, and met a couple from Michigan, Mike and Heather. They are in Salveo A Westsail 32. We will get together with them later in the day.
We will not be traveling again for several days, but will be hiking and snorkeling. Today's hike was on Honeymoon Beach
