Cruising aboard the Nauti-Dog
After 33 years on sailboats it is time to stop tending sails. We now have a brand new Ranger Tugs R31CB-LE. This boat is trailerable, although we will need wide load permits. It will now be a one day trip to DeTour, Michigan rather than 6+ days.

Tides!

There was a significant tide in Des Moines. The discoloration on the rock breakwall shows part of the tidal range. The tidal change from a high tide to a low tide could be as much as 12 feet. Fortunately all of the docks in Des Moines are floating docks so there is never a need to adjust dock lines.
