Well, we've spent the last 8 day in sunny Ft Myers. We took a mooring at the downtown city yacht basin. It's a nice marina that is only 2 blocks off of the main street with several restaurants and shops. Super clean and pretty! They had their art festival right by the marina while we were there. We decided on the second day to rent a car for a week. It's a great area to ride around in. We went to the Edison/Ford/Firestone winter estates. They have beautiful gardens there. This is a really real estate depressed area. You can ride all over Ft Myers and Cape Coral and find at least one house on every block for sale. Really really reasonable, too. We rode around looking for a couple of days and thought about buying a small winter home but finally decided against it. We did go to Sanibel Island, which is beautiful! The best part of the trip was seeing my cousin Bob and his wife and 5 of their 9 kids! I hadn't seen him in over 40 years but he is still cute as a button. We met him and his wife Lisa and their youngest for lunch one day at this hole in the wall seafood place that had fantastic food!! Another night we went to dinner with all of them and had a wonderful time! Hopefully we will see them again one of these days. It was a great week!
