Thursday 8/9 – The day started with fog and drizzle. I ran the engine for a while to charge batteries and to get hot water for a shower. Around 1130 the fog had cleared enough for me to leave. Once outside Seal Bay I hoisted the main, unfurled the yankee and turned off the engine. It was still foggy with a visibility of about one mile, but there was a decent breeze of 10/12 knots from the WSW. Around 1300 the fog got worse and the visibility reduced to ¼ nm. But then around 1330 it cleared up and we had a great sail to Long Cove near Tenants Harbor.
Time for a selfie
Friday 8/10 – A sunny and breezy day. I went ashore for lunch and found Luke’s a little restaurant that had recently (re?) opened. A lobster roll for lunch. I later returned to Luke’s after a walk for an afternoon beer.
