Sunday 8/19 - Returned from Philadelphia after a successful interview with the US Immigration Service.
Monday 8/20 - Left the slip and returned to mooring # 6.
Tuesday 8/21 - Replaced the Yanmar raw water impeller after a little more than 400 hours. They are supposed to last 600 hours but after losing a few impeller blades in the early years I have replaced them more often. I don't know if they make them better, or if the water pump housing has become smoother over the years, but both this time and last (when I put in a new one after 450 hours) they appear in perfect shape with no blades damaged or deformed. While checking the engine I noticed one of the nuts of one of the engine mounts had come loose. The bottom nut had not moved, so I assumed that the alignment of the prop shaft was still fine. (I have not noticed any vibration since, so it must be ok.) Also changed the engine oil, and replaced one of the Racor filters.
Wednesday 8/22 - Fog and heavy rain all morning. Did laundry and paid my marina bill. And final drinks and dinner at the bar of the Whale's Tale.
